Mindful Moments - Challenge = Growth
We all experience challenges from time to time. Although it may be difficult in the moment to acknowledge this ... challenges are a necessity of life. If we really reflect upon it, the challenges we have faced and overcame, made us who we are today.
Challenge = Growth
Let's explore this a little further. How would your current self differ if it weren't for the unique challenges that you have faced, are facing or will face?
Trust me, I have had a hard time acknowledging the necessity of some of the pain points that I have been through in this life. When I take mindful moments to truly think about the unique circumstances that I have been through... I am in a pure state of gratitude. Gratitude because life is unfolding exactly the way that it is meant to be, for me and for you.
If you find yourself dealing with similar issues over and over again, then it is a beautiful opportunity to look within. How can you be causing this same scenario? What are your judgments? About yourself? Others? Get really clear on them. Write them down. The answers to 'why' these issues are repeatedly coming up in your life are found within your answers to those questions.
As we are going through times of challenge, remember to stop. Breathe. Breathe in and out, again and again. Sit with yourself for as long as it takes, until you come to clarity or an 'aha' moment. In that beautiful moment, continue to shift your thinking. Repeat "This is not happening TO me. This is happening FOR me."
Okay- great! We are at a pivotal moment of recognition when we shift our thinking to "how is this happening for me"? From this place we are open and ready to let the true healing begin, light and love.
Every time we experience fear, anger, resistance, ignorance, sadness.... it is there so we can open up and experience more love. Surrender to love. Love is always present, especially in times of darkness. Invite love in. How can it help guide you? How can love help teach you?
May you continue to grow, surrender and be love.
