Soul Stories with Jared Dunn- "If I speak up, it might give someone else the courage to speak up too."

What is your definition of the word soul? 

The soul is the energy inside of us, that makes us who we are. For example, when we have deep conversations with others the energy we feel is a "soulful connection."- J.D 

A motivator is someone who ignites enthusiasm, interest & movement. 

This week's guest on the Soul Stories series is the definition of a motivator.  I am grateful to have come to greater awareness while listening to his interview. Simply by absorbing  his words and hearing his truth around the soulful questions that were asked, I feel motivated! Plain and simple. 

While playing his interview back, I came across a moment of pure clarity... sometimes I talk too much. HA!  Honestly though, as a soul guide I gift others space to share and discover themselves. During this particular interview, it dawned on me... gift even more space. Allow the person to uncover the answers within them without leading them, jumping in to "help" them or explain further. 

As I listened to our interview together, my higher self was saying "Alexa, sit back and LISTEN!" 

Be fully present and listen to the stories of  others with a wider heart. HEAR and FEEL the wisdom that is within those around us. 

 I was humbled to absorb his responses to the soulful questions that were asked of him. I was intrigued to listen again. I was motivated to continue on with my life's purpose - spreading love & light and sharing the soulful stories of others. It was the way in which these questions were answered that conveyed such curiosity, positivity and change. 

So this week, I am going to do a little less story telling. I am going to allow you to simply read and absorb this soul's pure wisdom. 

Meet Jared.  Jared is a motivator.

I met Jared about a year or so ago at my favorite coffee shop, Le Pain Quotidien. Jared is a lead employee at LPQ and he serves each customer and colleague with the biggest genuine smile. Throughout the year, we have created a friendship as we converse about life, coaching, spirituality and the purpose of it all. 

I am far from the only soul that Jared has this sort of connection with. I have witnessed him greet many customers by their first name, ask them how their day is going and ultimately, create lasting bonds with them. Jared serves this role to customers of the restaurant, but also to his friends, co-workers and family members. 

He is the go to person. The one people seek out for advice, guidance and help in many areas. 

What makes Jared a true motivator?

His openness, curiosity and pure intention to help others. 

Let's gift ourselves a mindful moment to ponder the people, the places and circumstances that have shaped our lives. 

Have you spent time reflecting on the impact your community has had on you or you have had on your community? What purpose does your environment serve? How about the people within that environment? 

Speak to your waiters and waitresses. Connect with others throughout all parts of your day. Think before taking your phone out while ordering that coffee... you may miss a genuine soul like Jared who will send you off with far more positive energy than that Facebook post you are sucked into at the moment. Take a minute and look up- Meet Jared. 

Jared creates this positive environment within LPQ, for it is not just a job to him ... this is community. This is where he spreads positive vibes and encourages those around him to succeed and go after their dreams. 

Be on the look out for him in the near future- as he will be effecting change and growth all around him, as he already is! Until then, absorb his words below and join together in sending him good vibrations and light for his present and future endeavors.

What is your life's purpose?

What do you want to share with the world? 

"I exist in the depths of solitude

Oh my goodness- this interview is just SOUL good. :)  During the recording, I even stopped Jared to say "WOW - this is the best response to these questions I have received all day!" I am still over the moon excited about it and know in my heart that Jared is well on his path to being a change agent, thought provoker and leader. As he is already doing it! 

May we all send love & light to one another, hold sacred space for each other and continue to learn everyday in every way.
