The Opportunity within The Great Resignation

Hello Friends!

Do you know what we all have in common? We all work. Every single one of us in some capacity or another. Running our own firms, working for a corporation, driving, delivering, making, creating, selling, VPing, investing, caring, boarding, parenting our kids and/or doing all of these things at the same time; and then some! Wow! Aren’t we capable, amazing and a brilliant humanity.

Over the COVID time-frame we have experienced and read many stories about The Great Resignation. I know we are at the time of a beautiful wake up call. A time for re-birth and transformation.

With the death of something, comes opportunity. An opportunity to change. An opportunity to hear from all of the voices, a chance to study all that is unfolding and dive into it; to arrive at a solution. A chance to turn a new leaf. To learn from our mistakes.

So here we are - a rebirth is upon us. The time is now…

  • To hear from every voice that works for the organization

  • To truly validate their feelings

  • To empower them with authentic training, team unity practices and a welcoming start to the company

  • To allow flexibility and empowerment

  • To harness their passion

  • To encourage cross department communication

  • To celebrate WINS

  • To care about our team members families and out of work life

  • To have FUN

  • To express challenge without fear

  • To appreciate authenticity

  • To bring in visualization & wellness tools to SEE the success we want

  • To be addressed by the CEO & other C- level execs, often

  • To be a purpose driven company

  • To BE A Community.

Without these things, a company cannot be successful.

Money is important - Money is success. Money is health.

So don’t we want to treat the ones bringing in the money, speaking to the clients, creating that community as the golden goose?! Because they are. They are your Brand Ambassadors, the ones closing the deals, the ones saving the deals, the ones putting in the work, the ones creating community.

I urge our companies, big or small, to shift today. To recognize the talent that you have and to appreciate them.

Start today:

  • Write someone a hand written letter of appreciation

  • Ask them their opinion

  • Ask them how they feel about your leadership style and their vision for the company

  • Talk to them about their family

  • Get everyone together and celebrate something, anything!

Ask questions! We learn so much by asking.

The time is now - to lead from love, from the heart and let go of the fear based leadership.
